Spring Bird Walk at Fort Sheridan

Our morning walk at Fort Sheridan for Spring bird watching is coming soon. Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve offers Lake Michigan access and a lake overlook.  It is one of eight locations in Lake County designated for birdwatching.

We will be guided by Cliff Miller, of P Clifford Miller Landscape Artistry, arranged by our own Elizabeth Daliere ( GCA liaison  Conservation/NAL).  We hope to spot ducks, shorebirds, woodpeckers, snowy owls, and the south migration of bald eagles, a variety of hawks, northern harriers and ospreys along the 1.7 mile birding trail.

Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars.  Feel free to bring your own hot or cold drink.

We will meet at the Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve main parking lot.
